Kayla Clark
Kayla Clark is a passionate attorney who focuses on social justice. She started her career as a legal aid attorney at Kansas Legal Services. There, Kayla represented and advised survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in navigating divorce, child custody issues, and protection orders. She advised hundreds of self-represented litigants in courthouse self-help centers.
Since beginning at Patterson Legal Group, Kayla has built a solid reputation in the Topeka community and beyond. She was the 2025 recipient of the Topeka Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. Additionally, Kayla was among 12 attorneys selected statewide for the 2026 Kansas Bar Association Leadership Institute.
Prior to entering practice, Kayla honed her legal skills at Washburn Law. She graduated with a Pro Bono Certificate with Distinction, dedicating over 100 hours to legal aid work. Additionally, she earned a Family Law Certificate and actively participated in the Washburn Law Litigation Clinic, gaining invaluable courtroom experience.
When Kayla Clark is not advocating for clients, you can find her curled up with a good book, indulging in creative crafts, or enjoying a lively board game night with her spouse, Josie. They also share their home with two beloved pets: Moose, the chihuahua, and Snail, the tabby cat.
