Jay Sizemore bio

Jay Sizemore is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience in personal injury litigation. Jay is a proud father of three children and is dedicated to helping his clients seek justice and compensation for their injuries.

Before joining Patterson Legal Group, Jay worked at a prominent law firm in Kansas, where he specialized in handling personal injury cases, particularly those involving car accidents. His background in government practice, working as both a criminal prosecutor and defense attorney, equipped him with valuable courtroom experience, which he has used to secure favorable outcomes for his clients during his years in private practice.

Jay Sizemore’s family is full of lawyers. He was the third generation of his family to work at Sizemore, Burns & Gillmore LLC, in Newton, Kansas. He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Herb Sizemore, and his uncle, Mike Sizemore. Jay’s dad, Hadley Sizemore, is an attorney in McPherson, Kansas, his wife Erin Sizemore is an attorney in Wichita, Kansas and his uncle Patrick Sizemore is an attorney in California.

Jay earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kansas State University and attended Washburn Law School in Topeka, graduating in 2001. He is licensed to practice law in Kansas State and Federal Courts and has tried over 50 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials, and has argued several cases in front of the Kansas Court of Appeals.

Outside of his legal practice, Jay Sizemore is an active member of the legal community as a member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas Bar Association, and the Wichita Bar Association. He takes great pride in being husband to fellow attorney Erin Sizemore.
