Takata, the airbag manufacturer, has been under scrutiny for dangerous defects in air bags.takata-airbag-recall

There is an astronomical 50 percent chance that in a collision, an unrepaired airbag could spew metal fragments into the passenger compartment, causing major injuries and in some cases death.

Simply go to http://safercar.gov/vin and input your VIN to see if your vehicle is on the recall list.  If so, call your dealership right away to get the vehicle repaired.  All recalls are to be taken seriously and should not be ignored.  Recall repairs are provided at no cost to the consumer.  Check this out to keep yourself and your passengers safe while on the road.
