Kesia Smith

Kesia Smith was born and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Missouri Western State University. Following her undergraduate education, Kesia worked as a claims adjuster for an insurance company in Overland Park, Kansas. After seeing the unfair results for victims of injuries which were not their fault, Kesia decided to attend law school.

Kesia Smith graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City with her J.D. and LLM. Following law school, she practiced law handling plaintiff’s injury and worker’s compensation cases in Kansas City, St. Joseph and surrounding areas. Prior to joining Patterson Legal Group, Kesia practiced personal injury litigation for more than 18 years.

Kesia Smith serves on the Board of Legal Aid of Western Missouri. She is passionate about legal aid’s mission of providing legal assistance in civil matters to those who can’t afford it. Kesia enjoys traveling, watching baseball, and listening to podcasts.
